Anybody have, or know of a deal on a heavy duty single phase compressor? Mine just packed it in and I need to get something soon and at a decent price. Any leads or ideas really appreciated. Thanks!

The $489 at Home Depot model is the way to go, IMO - I have used mine for 20 years (bought it used) and it works as it did on day 1. Sold under Coleman and Black Max names - all are about the same.
220v, single phase, 60 gallon upright, oil-type. Don't buy oilless - for both noise and durability reasons.

I've got a Husky (rebadged Ingersoll-Rand) 30-gallon upright that is Made in USA and came from Home Depot 7 or 8 years ago. Has a cast iron head, belt drive, and uses 10W-30 oil. It has worked great.
It's also 120V, which is convenient. Seems like it cost around $ 400.

Thanks guys, I think I may need something bigger to handle long term media blasting, several shop tools at once etc.

A 60 gallon upright, 220v is big enough for most things, but you can slightly outrun it taking lug nuts off a 8-lug axle with an impact wrench, also when painting and sandblasting. But, it's big enough that the 'catch up time' is not a big deal.

I like the 7.5hp single phase with at least an 80 gallon tank for doing any sand blasting/sanding/painting in a home garage. I bought my IR with those specs used for $600 and had to rebuild the electric motor for $300. Its kind of hard to find a single phase motor bigger than 7.5hp, they get pretty expensive. I want to say that mine is rated at around 27 cfm @ 120psi. Whatever it is, it keeps up nicely and I can run a DA sander continuously.
Here is one kind of like mine:
