A friend that works at Costco sent me this. Thoughts?

Just your standard Chinese winch. Good thing is Costco probably stands behind it better than most other suppliers of in-expensive winches.
We had one of those on our car hauler trailer when I was working at the dealership in Minturn. It worked fine.

My brother had one of these on his 80. It pulled him out of trouble and many others for the 4-5 years he had the vehicle. Only complaint I ever heard from him is that it was on the slower side on winching speed.

I had one, it was the 9K model and worked fine. like mentioned the speed is slow which is so much of a problem if you are pulling out of snow or mud but it is a problem if you are pulling yourself up a steep incline while crawling it too. You can outdrive the winch line sometimes and that can cause/lead to problems sometimes. I do know one thing, it is better than no winch at all.

I have a budget winch on my rig and I'm completely satisfied. All it has to do is get me out of trouble and thats exactly what it has done a bunch of times. It paid for itself the first time I had to use it.
I bought a 10k Engo winch which I really like for around $450 shipped from Metal Tech, and they've been very highly rated against the big name winches. It also came with a synthetic line for that price btw.
