Greetings to all!

I am a longtime member of ExpeditionPortal and the IH8MUD forums, and have come across the opportunity for a trip that has been on my bucket list for a while.

One of wifey's close friends is getting married mid July in Denver, and I hope to spend as much time in Ouray as possible during our week-long visit. So far I'm hoping that National Auto rental has a wrangler available when I land, but would rather drive a vehicle similar to my DD if anyone is willing to rent their wheels out to me!

I also wouldn't mind meeting up with any members from here if anyone is up for a trip.

Advice on nice scenic trails is also appreciated. Black Bear pass is on my bucket list, put I'm open to what you know is best!

Well my 100 and I have big plans for July, so sorry can't have this one. I like the thought though... you do realize that Ouray is a solid day away from Denver, right? 7 hours minimum.. nbd as long as you're not needed back in time for the rehearsal dinner of something.

I've seen 200-series cruisers on the rental lots at Denver International Airport.

Tonto Trails. He has an 80 series formally owned by Equipt. Its well equipped :lmao: Otherwise you can get a basic Jeep in Ouray. Nothing more is really needed for the San Juans as far as a vehicle. The Tonto Trails rig will have RTT and be self contained.

If you lodge in Ouray I like the Box Canyon Lodge personally. For something over the top look into the Wiesbaden.

Keep me in the loop if you want to wheel. Ouray is just a short drive from my door. If my schedule allows I'm in for a day on the trail

Don't forget the FJ Summit is in mid-July. It will be hard to find a place to stay. The trails will be jammed too. 300+ vehicles in attendance.

Sent you a PM - if we're not traveling when you're out here, we might be able to work something out.

Just learned that Southwest Raft & Jeep in Durango has just purchased a few new Jeeps for rental 970 259-8313 www.southwestraftandjeep.com

in case you can't locate a 100 series you can always get a pair of these if you end up in a Jeep.
