Too new. My last bug was a '64. Next one I buy will be an oval window.

I had a 73 Vega wagon tubbed and a stroker small block under the hood....that was a very fun car! Too bad the car itself was such a POS!

Let me guess, the front fenders rotted out cuz they forgot to put in inner wheelwell liners :eek:

That was the case with my Vega, I had a panel wagon - two seats and the rear side panels were metal instead of glass. Cool car but, like you said, a POS.

My first new car was a yellow 73 bug convertible, no sb400 and th350 :eek: but at $3200 off the showroom floor I was one happy camper...

Bingo! Plus the body mounts rotted out, wiper linkage wore out at every bushing, only thing that worked well was the transplanted drivetrain and the heater!
