i would be interested to know why they lost brakes. my guess is it was the front swaybar mount pulling off the axle on the passenger side allowing it to lift up high enough on articulation to snap the hard line right above it going up to the knuckle. ask me how i know. it sucks when that happens half way through golden spike, but it's a pretty simple trail fix :hill:

Certainaly makes me feel better about my ARB Bar and what happened to me at Flat Nasty with Tree's.

Same color as mine and no I am not a 80 year old man. I still have 5 years until I can get an AARP card

Nope.....parking prawl would just ratchet untill the rotaing assemble would be slow enough to let it drop in and lock. Brakes should have still held if something just broke at that time.....at least for a few pumps.

Don't understand why the e-brake didn't stop him, unless it was so far out of adjustment that it was no longer functional.

Thats what I wondered also unless his volocity was already too high when he yanked it and it just couldn't slow 6000#'s of mall Cruiser down enough. Something just doesn't smell right about the whole scenario, me thinks...

sounds to me that the little old guy thought he was hitting the brake and actually was hitting the gas fairly common cause for no offense "blue hair accidents" I bet if he turned the key off the lex would have stopped pretty quick.
