Got an email from a friend who lives in Leadville this morning and thought it applied to this thread. The friend hired someone last week - 5/26 - to aerate their lawn. Found out the ground was still frozen and the aerator couldn't do its job. We were up there this past Wednesday and the amount of snow up in the mountains is mighty impressive. Lots of snow bashing probably going on this weekend.

I was up that way on Saturday afternoon, exploring Sacto gulch on a bike which is one road south of Mosquito.. and yes it was snowing. Memorial day weekend. snowing. Nothing was really sticking though, at least down low, but it sure made my fingers cold.

It's been a cold spring on the western slope. We had frost even down here up until just the last few days. We are melted out at 8000' but it's just now started to feel like summer. I have not been up real high lately so I can sleek for Silverton and the like.

I came over Kenosha Tuesday afternoon, 5/31, and Red Cone was hammered. Maybe...Mid august. :)
