View Full Version : really dark side

I ran into a little trouble rotating my spring perches and switching out my rear springs on my "dark side" 1989 4runner, so I'm borrowing My father-in-law's "really dark side" rig named, "midnight."
If you guys plan on getting stuck, this would be a good week to do it. I have the tonage and 12,000# winch to get you out.
That's a classic Cherokee, pre-Chrysler, right?

Yep, sure is, Hulk. 1987 was sell off (out?) to Chrysler. This is the era when the old school Jeep guys got back in control. (1980).
I found this piece of history on the rig I'm driving.
Not included in the history:
My wife learned to drive in this truck!
Her sister drove it to highschool for a couple of years. I borrowed it a few years ago when I did my SAS.
On our way to get it last weekend, I had to ask, "Lin, how do you start Midnight again? Is it pump the gas 5 times 3 hail Mary's and turn the key or is it pump the gas 3 times and 5 hail Mary's?"
PS, the parts I need to get my rig back on the road shipped yesterday. :) I could be back on the "regular" dark side by Saturday night.
