View Full Version : 4runner needing V6?

I have a line on a '90 3.0l v6 engine - anybody have a clean stock 4runner (that already has a fried v6) to put it in? I don't mind a straight-across replacement project, but don't want a major conversion. Email to: steve.helmreich <at> horizonint.com.
Thanks - Steve

you may be able to find a runner thats in need of one.. the 3.0's are not very desirable. i think they have Head Gasket issues..
Steve, when are we going to get together, i still got a bunch of parts down here!

There are a lot of people looking for a decent deal on those motors, I would sell it if I were you and try to find a project that could use a 3.4 l because they actually cost less money and are far more powerful. My opinion after having to replace both over the years, they use the same tranny and I believe even the mounts are close when it comes to toyota frames.
