Congrats Wes.

A Friend of mine once said that for a father, boys are fun to raise because you play ball and other stuff with them. Girls come back to see if your still alive after they move out.

I actually had fun raising my girls and the were very active in Vball and soccer. It gets harder when they are teenagers and dating though. Sons you tend to remember what you did when you were their age and wonder if they are having fun. Girls you tend to remember what you did as a boy at that age and

Mad props to Wes for showing up to the RS meeting three days after becoming a father. He looked tired, but he was there. The rest of you have no good excuse.

Yes, St. Joe's. I was happy with the facilities, classes and the experience there.

Thanks again all. I'll definitely be hitting you all up for advice in the future.

How long was long? Labor for Nathaniel was over 18 hours.

She started at 2:30 am sunday morning. Hospital at 8. Dialated at ~4 and prgressing well. I though she would have it by 3 same with the nurses. Fever set in and antibiotics added to get the little ones heart rate down. Pitosin added later to get the contractions a bit stronger. Pushed from 8:45 til 11:41 sun night. That's almost 21  Our neighbor across the street labored on her first for 36 hours. He told me not to tell Tracy that before she had the baby.

I'm glad i'm not a woman.

The 18 hours is the part that is remembered. Not sure how many other hours were before really knowing we were in labor. But making it through 21 is a feat and you 3 should be proud. Glad all went well.

The funny, or strange, this is...Most women seem to forget all about the labor and are ready to have another in short order...It amazed me with all the difficulty my wife had with our "deliveries" it was like she blocked it out mentally and was ready to have another

Our first was similar to yours only we started at 7am (induced) and it was 4:01am the next morning when the docs gave up and did a C-section...You have to bow to your wife after going through something like that

The good news is that the second one goes so much quicker and easier.

I was happy with St. Joe's too. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I'm just now getting over the shock of having a baby in the house and I'm 5 weeks into it:thumb:
