I have a 5 speed out of a 1993 4Runner, shifts fine, ran when in the truck. I dunno what the series or number of it is, I just want it gone, can't bring myself to trash it or give it to the Yota Yard...I'm thinking a case of Corona should do :)

I wonder...Anyone ever put a 4Runner 5 speed in a FJ40? Is that even possible?

Not for me (although I would love a 5 speed) but I was thinking maybe Martin since he seems to be in need.

Please go easy on me if this is an obvious impossibility :)

Did this one come out of your v6 4runner?

I have an R151 bellhousing which could be used to possibly mate the R150 to a 22RE (IIRC, that the input shaft is the right length... needs to be the same length as an R151). The downside is, now you have a 22RE with a chain tcase, but that is not the end of the world if you have no plans to regear the tcase. $35 posted elsewhere here.
