Not to butt in and I am no longer in the WC pres. however we usually have out trail runs on the second Sat. of each month, Just a heads up.
The new Pres. are getting all sort's of things together for us throughout the year.
Have fun.

Okay so Farr posted that March 22-25 is the currently scheduled date for this trip...is everyone planning on meeting morning, midday or evening of Thursday the 22nd? Hm...hopefully Spring Break won't drain the bank account too much and hopefully senior design will be done enough I could sneak away for the weekend.

I understood the overnight to be further south near Blanding Utah, not in Moab proper...

That's the impression I got too. Don't know exact names, but somewhere pretty far south on the east side of the Colorado I think...so near Blanding. maybe? Do you have the names?

Hotel Rock. Yes, it's pretty far south of Moab.

Great stuff.
I just got back from our meeting on this run, Some things are still in the works, But it should be a great time.
I know there will be about 6-10 rig's, possibly more from WC along with thoes of you from RC, Should give us close to the ammount that should be scheduled for CM.
I will be going...unless there is some unforseen mishap :thumb:
Have fun

Details, straight from Royal Rose:

Here is the official prerun info:

Thursday, March 22 - Arrive afternoon/evening and camp.

Friday, March 23 - Run Arch Canyon (hike at the end of the trail to the arches).

Saturday, March 24 - Run Hotel Rock - short hike at the end of the trail.

Sunday, March 25 - Return home.

Group breakfast can be Friday or Saturday before the trail. Who's willing to head up the Breakfast committee?

Lunch on the trails.

We'll be close enough to Blanding that people can go into town if they want to for dinners, or they can just eat at camp.

There are accomodations in Blanding if people don't want to camp.

The trailhead/camp is approximately 15 miles south of Blanding. Directions: Head south from Moab on 191 to Blanding (83 miles). Head south out of Blanding, and at approximately 5 miles, turn right (west) onto 95, towards Lake Powell. Go about 10 miles. After cutting through Comb Ridge, road will drop into Comb Wash. At the bottom of the canyon, there will be a dirt road on the left to camp (primitive). There is room for camp trailers, etc. Coordinants are:
N 37 30' 41.381"
W 109 39' 19.004"

or

618,865.70M E
4,152, 234.22M N
(approximately)

I'm going. Still not sure if any family is coming with me.

I'll be there.

All Y'all will be the first to see the "enhancements" to the Gnewt - now sporting purple mirrors (Mrs. Bobzooki said if she was going to CM07 with me, the Gnewt had to lose those "trailer trash" red mirrors). Oh, yeah, she got on a roll with that purple paint. The Snorkel, the diamondplate over the transmission...

Also installed a set of Bushwhacker fender flares on her this weekend (the Gnewt, not Mrs. Bobzooki).

What time are you guys heading out tomorrow?? I just got word that the baby has the flu:( . So it will just be me and the girls. Going to try to leave between 1 and 2. Not sure if we'll stay in moab or head straight through to campsite.

It's unclear. I'd like to leave earlier, like 10 a.m., but I'm not certain how realistic that is. I still have a list of work that needs to be done before I leave. Then I need to pack my clothes, camping gear and tools.

Looks like it is just me; no wife or kids.

Let's touch base tomorrow a.m. by cell phone. If I don't call you first, you have my number.

Is there any chance I'll be able to keep up with you in the 100 anyway? My 80 isn't dog tired, but has no blower and it certainly ain't a V8.
