View Full Version : Wanted A340H/F Automatic Transmission
02-11-2007, 09:32 AM
Title says it all. Senior has a problem with the integrated transfer case on it's automatic transmission. It will cost too much to purchase and install an Inchworm/Marlin adapter, so I am looking for the whole thing or (by some miracle, a transfer case for the same transmission).
Thanks in advance.

Hey, my son picked up a W56 and transfer case. He wants to keep the transfer case, but I bet if you came up with a reasonable offer he could just sell you the complete unit and buy a transfer case, win/win!
It may not need an overhaul either. No idea on miles.
Kinda an equipment multiplication, eh?

That's an interesting thought. I have no clue as to what a W-56 + transfer case is worth. I recently saw on Craig's list that combination on a 85 4Runner being parted out for $250. Of course, one never knows what you get from there. The thing I like about the automatic transmission is that it's like a crawler gear. So, I was toying with the idea of picking up a Marlin dual transfer case adapter. Or the other possibility is selling Senior and putting some armor (and a lift) on my daily driver...

Call Mike at ORS.
Should be a stocker there from a swap with 140k miles or so.
