hmm...might I use one of the axles to help with my ebrake issue on my 73 40? I also might need the radiator, the one I have looks a little rough...

The whole axle is too wide and/or the spring perches are a different width, I believe. I don't know if you could take the brake backing plates and rig up a cable for the e-brake. I'll defer to someone else. I think the radiator is different, too.

Correct, when they made the 60 axles wider they only added to the long side of the tube which made it so you would have to outboard your perches to fit them.

I would be willing to trade the front 3 feet of the frame for a little fab work, ie. chevy spring/shackle hangers and a dropped front spring hanger. If I dont get more demand for parts though I may have to keep her and go a different route (save for my next 60DD). Ill let everyone know, not worth parting out if I end up with a 60 with 3 doors, full driveline, and a front axle missing lol. Let everyone know, Im open to offers.

We just did this swap - the spring perches need to be outboarded, which isn't a huge deal, but since the axle is wider, it's recommended to swap out the front axle as well - that's a fair amount more work (see Bustanutley's write up) - the brake backing plates on the rears are a different configuration than the 40 axle, so no swap possible there...The whole axle is too wide and/or the spring perches are a different width, I believe. I don't know if you could take the brake backing plates and rig up a cable for the e-brake. I'll defer to someone else. I think the radiator is different, too.
