How about a few more specifics Max. How far is it broken down? What kind of Beer does your dad have? Is your Mom a good cook? Do you have all the parts?

Everythings apart, it has all new bearings installed, new rings installed, new lifters, all new gaskets. everything is there, just need to put it back together. the beer is in brown bottles, and there are several selections. and my mom can cook anything.

Max,
I would be happy to pitch in and help. I am however, only a 2 bannana mechanic. So other more experiances people would also have to pitch in. Maybe a few of us can coordinate times and come by. You will have to let us know what kinds of tools do you have. Do you have the FSM?

I am assuming this is a 1F engine. Is the Cam shaft in the block or is it broken down completely

-you guys tell me when a good day is for you, ive got all of next week off. evenings work for me also, let me know.

sorry, max

Thanks vey much for the offers of help - how about next Sunday? Will be in Gunnison visiting my brother on Saturday.
I have a Factory F Engine manual and can arrange for harmonic balancer installer - have plenty of wrenches, sockets, etc, but not sure if there's any other special tools we need.
Please let me know if Sunday isn't good and we can arrange for another day.
Thanks again!!

I might be able to swing some time, but if I am the only one there, we won't get much done. Putting an agine together is beyond my experiance base. If someone steps up who is knowledgeable in this area, I'll come by and help. I have done bits and pieces, but not the whole thing.

Where are you located? I've done a fair amount of engine work. In fact, I have an F in my garage I need to build whenever I get around to it.

After I rented a hone, last time I used one, I discovered they only cost about $10. I recommend just buying one. Harbor Freight and Tool King have them, as to many auto parts stores.

I just answered my own question...Highlands Ranch. You're one of the very few people who put much of anything in their profile. Cool. What's your time frame?

So, date, Sunday October 23 2005, time, noonish? Right?

I have harmonic balancer puller and many tools. What else do we need that you don't already have?

Sunday noonish is great.
Other than the harmonic balancer tool I can't think of anything - unless there's some specialized tool I don't know about, which is likely.
THANKS!
