Crap! I hope they don't sell out before I can get some for myself. My all-time favorite band.

Yeah, I just realized that. Enjoy the concert and please post how it was. The last time I saw them was in '86 for their Grace Under Pressure tour.

That was my last time too! Incredible show!

I just looked and 103.5 the Fox has tix for sale for around $220. This is what PO's me is the legal scalping! All these suckers buy up the whole venue immediately!

I saw Rush at Red Rocks 2-3 summers ago. Pretty good show. Last time I had seen them was in 1997 at Fiddler's Green (now Coors Amphitheater).

My first concert ever was Rush in 1981. Moving Pictures tour. I was 16. I still have my concert jersey.

Anyone can be a scalper now -- excuse me, "ticket broker." Wired Magazine had an article on "legal scalping" (http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/14.12/scalper.html) a few months ago. They gave one of their writers $500 to start. In five weeks, he had $1232 -- net profit $732.

Red Rocks would be an amazing place to see them. I saw them at Pine Knob in Michigan (also an outdoor venue) back in 91 or 92.

Enjoy it!

Dating myself a little, but I was a bouncer for their concert at Guelph Memorial Gardens in Guelph, Ontario when I was a student at the universtiy there in 1978...had to spend the entire concert stage left - couldn't hear for a week after....but worth it - and it was free...

That was my last time too! Incredible show!

I saw them in Pensacola, FL and it was an awesome show. The cool part was my father waited in line for 8 hours to get them for my birthday gift.

Damn that was 21 years ago! Makes me feel old.

Nice score. I Geddy and the boys at Big Mac, must have been '85 or '86. That's a pretty good band right there.

The geezer bands are pulling more than they young punk bands for sure! More discretionary income... :thumb:

That said, that is pretty high for a good show these days, 50 bucks is more the norm depending on the venue.

Gotta catch a band early to see them cheap!

WOW....What a show! They played 3 solid hours and tokk 1 20 minute break. The packed crowd stood the entire time! Not even close to there old light show but damn can those the Canooks still ROCK! Who else can have the same job for 30+ years and people still stand and applaud you for everything you do? Three news helicopters were over us for a little while....couldn't hear them though! Crowd was funny as it was the same people that was at the last Rush concert I seen many years ago but for some reason it was a tighter fit in the rows and a whole lot less hair! :lmao: I gotta try to get some work done...but I'll post again later.... :thumb:

Wow I missed this thread from April.

As a drummer I've been a huge Rush fan for years. I I've seen every show (except the last red rocks show) since the 81' Moving Picture show at McNichles Arena. Matt, I've had people offer me money for that concert shirt at a show (that was also my first ever concert in 81').

I also found out late about this concert and had to get mine from a broker. But, 175.00 for 13th row was worth it for me. It was a great show. I didn't even know helicopters were there until my co-worker told me today. Everyone was nice in getting out of my way on crutches. I was exhausted though, lots of elevation to negotiate to and from the parking lot.

I took this picture from my phone last night. Some serious "smoke rings filled the air".
