View Full Version : Elk Ears: Thanks to Scott Yoder!

For those of you that had a chance to sample our "Elk Ears", give a word of thanks to Scott Yoder (JadeRunner) for donating the elk that went inside them! Also, the Elk Salami he donated was a big hit Saturday night.
For those of you that didn't get to try them, Elk Ears are made from ground elk, mushrooms, and cheese in a bread-dough pastry (and not ears at all, but we like the name).

Thanks for cookin' that up for folks Bob. Way to go. Glad everyone enjoyed it.
I'm a bit of a simpleton when it comes to cooking and I'm franky getting tired of the straight lean elk meat on the grill. Those elk ears sound great.

I wish I read about these a few weeks ago. I just ground up over 30 lbs of elk meat for jerky. Maybe next year.:o

Y'all are most welcome. It was good to clean some of that old wine out of the basement (that was a 2000 cherry wine). Of course, the two bottles we drank barely scratched the surface!
