So I just started a 2 week vacation and what a way to sstart it. Score a 95 cruiser. Anyway, newbie question for sure, but how do I tell if it has lockers?

Wow, congrats! I guess the easiest way to tell is look for a big dial just left of the steering column that says "difflock" on it.

The switch casually resides behind the latte machine with is situated behind the mall parking lot navigation system. :D :hill:

Got it home this morning. Still VERY happy with it. The two things I want to do to it are first to fix the drivers side mirror.....it mirror part shakes bad so I have to look into that. Next to replace or take it to a shap to clean the headliner as its rather dirty. Other then that the projects will start. I will snap pics later.

If you search on Mud there are fixes for both. Check "shakey mirror" and "cleaning headliner" under the 80's section and you should find what you are looking for.

You'll find lots of info on MUD on the mirror...Most likely one of two things.

(A) The screw on the bottom is loose
(B) One of the support "arms"/attachments has broke

In my case it was A and was a 30 sec fix including time to get out and put away the screwdriver :). Just make sure you don't try to overtighten the screw to solve the problem because busting the "sleeve" that screw goes into will only exacerbate the problem.

If the problem is "B", then the repair is more involved. There are threads on MUD that deal with recreating the support piece (assuming it has broke off and disappeared) to using the guts from a 4Runner mirror to fix the problem.

Good luck :thumb:

I thought it was closer to the butt massage switch? ;)

Sweet find, I hope you post up some pics.
