I've been looking in the garage and my parts pile and wondering when the hell I'm going to get all these projects done! How many and what do you have going on? What order in importance do you put them in???

I've got:

Rebuild front end
Marlin Crawler axle seals
30 spline longfields w/special longfield long spline long side
Front E-locker
longer wheel studs
Rear ARB setup
Fine spline rear axles
Anti-wrap bar
Skid plate
Fuel Injection TBI (currently modifiying OEM harness)
Valve Seals
new (read unbent) power steering pump bracket...ih8squeals...

I don't want to even get into the future mods section...

Isn't this one big project?

Rebuild front end
Marlin Crawler axle seals
30 spline longfields w/special longfield long spline long side
Front E-locker
longer wheel studs

Do one thing at a time. Finish the fuel injection TBI first, since that's currently in progress, right?

It's like painting the inside of your house. You wouldn't paint one wall in each room, and then go back and do a second wall, etc. You do one room at a time, finish it until you're satisfied, then move to the next room.

Man I know what you mean. So much to do, so little time...

My list is not as long since I spent all last Saturday working on my FJ40, but none of the work I still need to do is even for cool Mods, just necessary routine maintenance.

FJ60 needs:

smog pump swap
brakes checked
oil and fluids changed
AC trouble shoot

FJ40 needs:

carb rebuild
front pinion seal
valve adjust
exhaust fix

IN theory...yes :) It's all ONE big project. :D The other issue is time...wife and 2 young kids...I usually don't get out to the garage until 10:00~10:30pm :D

Red truck - nothing! (Finally!)
EDIT - oh wait bailing wire the broken piece of exhaust that's rattling but doesn't really serve a purpose so doesn't warrant a fix.

FJ40:
-find out why it quits upon descending to the idle circuit (apparently aggravated by brake booster)
-install windshield washer assembly that I hope to be getting from Cruiserparts.net in a couple days
-Remove diamond plate
-Rebuild steering box
-Fiberglass repair/repaint hardtop cap
-Build front/rear bumpers
-Buy/install winch
-Install dual battery setup for winch
-Buy shocks (or should I buy a lift too?)
-Fix shackles so they operate "correctly" per Mark Whatley
-Fix t-case leak
-Repair engine wiring
-Begin desmogging
-Rebuild carb
-Repair/reweld/repaint body
-Replace rear axle seals
-Extend diff breathers
-Replace exhaust donut
-Get rear brakes into properly working order (new shoes)
-Replace clutch

How long a list do you want? This is pretty much to get the truck to where I would feel comfortable putting money into mods rather than making it driveable.

I won't even bother with a list...Mine would be 1/2 as long as yours but take me 4x as long to complete :frown:

On a good note...I managed to find 15 mins tonight to finally bolt on the "new" bumper for the 40! Yeah :) I'd have to look but I think it has been sitting in the basement for less than 18 months which might be a record for me :hill:
