I found this on Colorado4x4.org and planned on making a purchase ...
Formattfab C02Tank sale (http://colorado4x4.org/vbb/showthread.php?t=100680)

Sno Bored did a little more leg work and discovered we may be able to get an even better deal with a group buy. I know several people were interested in the used tank that Convert offered. Who is interested in getting in on this deal??

I'm going to be getting one. I emailed the guy and he said once we know how many people want them we can find out what kind of discount we can get.

You might want to compare to this:

I have a 10 lb. CO2 tank that I bought from Cramer Decker Industries (http://www.cramerdecker.com/). Try calling:
949-581-1300
or 949-461-5900
or 800-752-4579.

The 10 lb. tank with valve and handle cost $73.00. The CO2 regulator cost $16.00 With shipping, I paid a total of $100.69.

Item C10H-320 - 10 lb. CO2 cyl. w/ valve & handle
Item CO3758-150 - CO2 regulator

They classified it as an industry courtesy sale -- it was a deal thru the LCML -- you might not get the same prices now (this was Dec. 2002).

Inexpensive and works great. Plus, you can transfer it from vehicle to vehicle with ease.

They were in development on a fancier setup that they were planning to sell against the expensive Power Tanks. You might ask about that.

Jeff Zepp has the same setup.

Also, it should be noted that this is a fixed pressure regulator, not an adjustable regulator like Formattfab is selling.

Ultimate air ultimate-air.com has good buys and was giving a discount on mud a while ago. They contributed a full system to CM07. I bet if you contacted Brian there he would give you a good deal on a group buy with no shipping and no tax. If you contact him, tell him your from Rising Sun and I sent you. He is also advertising in TT.

At least contact him to see what he can do. May help get him to contribute again next year.

I'd be in for one as well but I'm with Romer in that we should give Ultimate Air a shot at the business first. Nice way to show our appreciation for donating to CM07 and proof that sometimes giving stuff away does result in a sale or two :thumb:

On a side note, the main reason I'm more inclined to go with UA is honestly I'm concerned with how the other setup (formattfab's) has the gauges laid out. They seem to be "hanging out there" and susceptible to damage/breakage

I like the UA XT version (http://www.ultimate-air.com/products/muxt10.htm) the best...

I sent Brian at Ultimate Air an e-mail and asked him to post a thread in the vendor section here if he wants to. He is a good guy. I talked him into joining Mud and donating to the raffle. He likes what we do with our dollars and time for land use and thats what inspired him to donate a setup

I would be interested, just depends on price sine I have a home made one already. I guess I could sell that one for the new one.

I bought my reg from UA, Brian is a class act.

I would be careful with the reg they are advertising on that other site, it looks (and I could be wrong) like a beverage regulator, it is C02 safe, and adjustable, but we want HIGH FLOW rates, and they tend to freeze up quick and stop regulating at sustained flow rates.

Just my .02

I say go UA!

I would not be afraid of a beverage regulator. I used my old system for several years without a problem. I think as long as you aren't airing up everyone's tires in the group, I would typically turn mine up to 100 to 120 psi. At 120, after 4 tires, it would be a little frosty. Would I trade my new system? No. But my old system NEVER let me down!:thumb:

I have a fixed regulator and it freezes up every time. But it was cheap.

Thanks again Ken...Anxiously awaiting to see what Brian will come up with. I believe the other deal (single purchase) is good through August 5th. Not sure if we have a specific date for when the group buy ends?

I think we could get a group buy discount anytime from the original CO2 tank guy. We should see what the price would be with a group buy from UA. We can then see how many people would be interested in which model of CO2.

Would he sell just thr reg? I would like to get a real one that does not freeze etc. A whole new set up would be cool too.
