I wanted to let every one know that Robin and I have found a house to buy and signed on it yesterday at 4pm. So we will be happy home owners. I was not willing to talk about this much except to Kevin. I try not to get too excited until what I want, happens. Too many disapointments in the past. But we lucked into one sweet piece of property at a good time for inerest rates. Robin did a fantastic job on all the paper work while I have been traveling the the current gig.
The new house is situated in the old mining area called Sunshine. Up Sunshine Canyon to county rd 83. Then right on Whispering pine(aprox 6.5 miles from the start of the canyon. We are off Whispering Pine. We happen to get the first house that was built on Whispering Pine. It was built by a contractor in 1969 for him self. It sets on 2.5 acres and currently does not have a garage or shop(I get to build them my self:D ). We hope to have some garage built by late nov or early dec.
I will be around for work most of august to move and work on the house. So I hope to have a weekend BBQ on the weekend that I am takeing off work(3rd weekend in august I think). Robin and I love the community we have built and wish to remain in the area. And after a long search we have found a house we can enjoy as we fix it up and build the land the way the way we can take care of it.
Later Robbie

Congratulations on the new house, I would guess that the garage will be cruiser friendly. I am not familiar with the area you are describing, can you tell us geographically challenged folks where the are is located in a larger scale?? That way we can Google earth you ;-)

That's Great! Like UB, sorry to see you leave the 'hood', but man, it's gorgeous up there. Now all you gotta do is plan the "alternative" entrance that takes you through some mild wheelin' before you hit the driveway! ;)

Congratulations!!! Years of focus & effort are paying off!

I found the area in Google Earth. Looks lightly treed and somewhat hilly. About 7300 feet. 40.0652 Latitude, -105.362 Longitude will get you close. I don't know which house is yours, though. :)

I forgot about the Google earth stuff. Address is 363 whispering pine, boulder colorado, 80302. Hope that helps you finding the house.
Thanks from Robin and I for the well wishing. yes both the garage and the shop(next year) will be cruiser friendly. Their looks to be a early 40(some 25 stuff on it) on county rd 83 that has not moved in a long time. Any how it will be a nice peaceful place to live close to the city.

I googled the address and found th arrow to be slightly off. the house is the house next to the open field that is slightly above and to the left of the arrow. The house even futher to the left has a pool that can be seen if you know it is their.

#1 or #2? Sounds like it is #1. Whichever, that looks like an AWESOME location

House #1 is the correct answer. pictures will have to wait until I learn to do that skill. I have been told how, but never attempted it. So I do not have that skill set.
I will have to learn soon, as I have more need to know that trick.

:) :) :) Sweet!!! Robbie - I have really good friends (20 years) Steve & Lisa Hall at 1427 County Road 83 (just before the saddle at the end). I lived there with them my third year of law school. Sunshine is a fantastic place!

I would LOVE to introduce you to them. You and Robin will love them. They have lived there since 1991. They are very active in the community and have two great young sons.

The white FJ 40 parked at the house just before your turn has been there for at least 11 years. When I lived there I had Steve speak to the owner but he was not into selling. I suppose with you on the road he'll have lots more cruiserheads knocking on his door.

Two things. Hope that isn't a live picture of the future Hot tub. And drinking beer at altitude is a whole 'nother thing.

It's great you finally get your own corner of the world. You deserve it.

That sounds great Robbie. Let me know if you need help moving or building. Looks like a beautiful area, but where do we go skiing?
