I've wondered what one would look like...Now I know

Maybe I just can't get past the bling wheels

Those wheels are horrible. I'd be curious to see how much space it lost in the back with that top.

It's not... they're retarded  its a tacoma frame w/ (basically) 4Runner rear suspension. Retards...

I wish I could get paid to make stuff up. :D

Technically its a 4 Runner frame (Tacomas have rear leafs and different front a-arms) the FJ and 4 Runner share the same coil suspension front and rear and use the front a-arm that does NOT require replacing when you do up to a 3" lift like the Tacoma does (the upper ball joint is already angled perfectly for lifted applications on both the FJ and 03+ 4 Runners). The 03+ 4 Runner also can use all of the underbody armor from the FJ (skid plates, Link skids, upper & lower rear links, etc).

I thought the new 4Runner was on the same frame as the Prado (Lexus GX470?)

Yeah, that "Unibody FJ" thing had me shocked too. Glad to know it's not.

BTW, have to agree with the wheels. They are a crime against humanity.
