I'm still checking out a lead on MUD, but if anybody has one they're willing to part with let me know. I'd like to actually have decent heat this winter.

If you're looking for better heat for you, the driver, you'd be better off cleaning out your heater core than putting in a rear heater. Most of the heat from the rear heater stays in the rear, hence the name.

That's my $0.02. Feel free to tell me I'm full of crap. But come drive my '81 and feel the skin burn off your legs, w/o the rear heater engaged.

Oh, and if you really care about heat from the rear heater, get a 60-series rear heater.

just cut a hole in the tranny hump near your leg.. you'll get pleanty of heat.

I agree with matt. The rear heat helps if you have the hard top on. It helps warm the overall cab quicker and helps keep the tin box warm. A good cleaning of he front core sounds in order.

Yeah, I've already had the front core apart twice and it was working good all summer, but right after the Ouray trip it just stopped working and hot water isn't getting to my rear heater either so I'm going to have to clean all that stuff out - put I also put the rear heater under the driver seat so now I have double heat! :D
