Anyone have any experience exporting a left side LC from Australia to the USA? Would like to know if there are legal restrictions or if you can recommend someone to broker the transfer across the ocean.

Check out the international section of IH8MUD.com - there are lots of threads and advice concerning this - I imagine it would be easier to do for you though if it's left hand drive - most Aussie trucks are RHD. Would also help if it has safety stuff like airbags etc.

anything 25 and older should be no problem

I don't know if you can export one, but importing one is doable.:D

If you are for real about importing one let me know. I am actually looking to do it too and have done some research. Also have a contact down there.....

I believe all cars in AU are RH drive. At least everything I saw was. Anyway the normal rule as I understand it is 25 years or older.

If you could find a LH drive then I believe you will have to prove it meets all the US safety regs if its less then 25 years old.
