I love vintage photos even if they are jeeps.

Here's a vintage Jeep photo I ran across, maybe everyone's seen it but me. Apparently it was used in Warn Winch ads. Said to be Black Bear Pass from years ago!

I just got these from my neighbor and scanned them for him. He inherited a '66 FJ40 that his uncle had purchased new in New Mexico. We're in the process of trying to get it running again after sitting for a years.

These are photos his uncle took the day he bought it back in '66. I thought it was pretty cool that the plastic was still on the seat covers.

The Jeep dude is nuts.

That 66 has color matched bumperettes. I've never seen that before.

Cool old photos. I photoshop'd one of the '66 to get better color. :thumb: What neat pictures.

And rear hatch struts that look like they really work :hill:...I've take two hard hits to the noggin this week from my hatch when the struts decided to let loose :rant:and the Discount Tire guy got whacked in the back while loading my tire this afternoon ...Even then he still didn't charge me to sipe my spare :D.

Back to the thread...these old pics are great and the 66 was a knockout...Would be incredible if he can get it back to something close to that now.

I think it's just the sun on the pewter.

Very cool photos though. Does he have more?

Yes, he does. I'll offer to scan the rest. There are some very cool shots of the owner posing with his rifles and a couple of pistols in his belt as well as shots of the 40 hauling his horse trailer. I always like the look of these old photos too, there's just something different about them that is lost with modern photography.

Did you see the thread on Mud of Bull's 45LV?
