View Full Version : Aux fuse panel

I've got several new circuits to add to the 80 and am looking for a decent distribution panel to put under the hood. Got any rec's? I'm going to use a circuit breaker for the inverter but would like a six circuit fuse panel, with a cover to handle to upcoming power needs.

I like the Painless ones from Summit Racing. Easy install, then you get 3 always hot and 4 switched hot powers. I'm going to be installing a second one in the 80 soon.. :)
Not sure the difference between the $62 one and the $50 one.. but here:

Ah so! And inside that rubber cover is a place to label what's what.. worth the $13.

Come on Tim can't you see that they also swapped out the China relay for a Hella? I agree though. The rubber boot hardly makes it waterproof. The back side of the fuse panel is wide open. That panel is a decent buy though, I use one in my 45.

The other approach is to add one inside the 80, attached to the rear heater under the PS seat. Slee has a tech install on their site and sells the aux fuse blocks...
You can also find a lot of cool and interesting stuff (like the fuse block) at http://www.wranglernw.com/
Go into the Light Truck section and then at the bottom click on the "download the catalog"...If nothing else it can give you some ideas on stuff available out there :)
I used one of these in my 80:

Mounted high on the firewall on the DS.
