The kind that mounts high across the glovebox, like the ones that came on earlier FJ40s. Anybody have one?

Here's what I have (http://www.sor.com/sor/cat276.tam?cart=07I19gav.iec&lpg=%2Fsor%2Fsearchresult%2Etam&lpt=1190217065&xax=17714&page%2Ectx=cat276%2Etam), from Specter Off-Road.

Also bought the pad:

You can get one from Man-A-Fre (http://www.man-a-fre.com/parts_accessories/4+plusgrabdashhandle.htm) as well.
Also Known as a "chicken bar". Our dash handle is made by 4+Plus, and is quite the heavy duty unit for those passengers that might be hanging on in the "white knuckle" phase of off-roading. Thick wall tubing, thick mounting flanges, full penetration wire welds make this the heaviest duty commercially available unit of it's type. Includes mounting hardware, painted black.

That's exactly what I need to get for my :Princess: wife. Maybe she'll actually start going with me on runs. :D

Hey, I have several. I think in black an chrome. They came from CJ's if you dare put one on your vehicle! You are welcome to one if you want it. Just swing by and grab it! Located near Hampden and Broadway.

Honestly, the lack of doors, front cage, and three point seat belts all scared my :Princess: pretty good.

The little bar, has given her a place to let me know she is a bit nervous without using verbals and it does really help on the side to side rough stuff.

I have also taught her that if we roll that is the only safe place that her hands should go.

Sadly, will need to drill two big holes in the dash. The 4 plus one is bomb proff like all their stuff. But fabbing one up would only take an hour. You should come up Matt and we will mooch Ians bender for a few pulls and fire up my welder.:thumb:
