Hmmm...I'm afraid to ask what that is...

My wife likes this candy that is made from dried prunes...She picked up a liking for it as a small kid living in Okinawa (Army brat). It is some of the nastiest stuff you ever tasted. I was flying my folks and her back from KS years ago and she hands one of those things to my mom...Thought my mom was going to lose her cookies then and there somewhere over KS at 10K feet, in a small, enclosed plane  - would not have been pretty for any of us

We cleared the office with the smell, one person gagged, and one lost their cookies. :D

It tastes just like natural gas smells.

I shudder thinking about how bad that stunk. I just watched the episode of Bizarre Foods (http://travel.discovery.com/tv/bizarre-foods/bizarre-foods.html) where the guy tried eating a piece of that fruit. He couldn't do it...

Isn't it an Asian delicacy? I think my buddy brought them back from Taiwan or Thailand.

The pacific market has them.

Ethyl mercaptan is derived from Durian. Now we know why it tastes like natural gas. :p:

Today was habanero day. John brought in a handful and passed them out. It tastes like burning.

The only thing that really fixes that is beer. :D

Went to the Pacific Ocean Market for lunch. Unagi, kelp, octopus, and a few other unidentified items. Followed that up with one of my favorite foods. We had the red flesh variety when I was down in New Zealand the 2nd time.

Dragon fruit

Durian is NASTY !! The smell is so bad and hard to remove, you are not even allowed to bring them on the subway in Singapore !! Many Taxi's also refuse to allow them in there Cab. There are NO DURIAN signs everywhere in Singapore.. People are said to either love it or hate it... I gave it a shot in Malaysia and am in the hate it group...

Just got back from the cabin. Steamed up some stinging nettle. The internet says it is edible.

You might seek a second opinion Mike! :D

Mike, I have concerns that you are eating the most unlikely thing your eyes land on.

Don't EVEN think about looking at the Chili. Only the name is a reference to anything edible.
