Downey 4" lift springs ‘64-80 4” Spring Set, front and rear. Like new, not the ones on my 40. These I picked up from a guy in Cali the last time I was out there. He ran them once and then went SOA.

Hey Mike...

Did you have these installed on your 40 (haven't been around long enough to know/remember)? If how was the ride? I'm interested :thumb:

These I never installed on my 40 and I don't know how well they ride. I bet someone in the club runs these though.

The ride is pretty nice, I'm running them on my 40. They had good shackle angle out of the box too. Only issue is that they are slightly narrower than stock springs so you need the Downey bushings too which are available.

"pretty nice" is a somewhat subjective term.. ;) :lmao:

TJ (Pablocruise) is running them, you could PM him as well.

pretty nice? That would be perfect to install while I am getting my truck running. I think I will take them, unless someone says the ride is horrible...maybe I should go ride in Martin's 40...

Martin lives down the street from me. We call call him and arrange something if you like.

Timm,

Have at 'em and let me know how the ride is...I've got too much left undone on my rigs that needs to be done to go worrying about stuff that is working :hill:

Another consideration about Martin's ride (if you do use his truck as a basis) is his stiff-walled LTBs :D.

That's right, and when Nakman drove it on Kingston (bumpy!) I didn't air those LTB's down.:D
