Not much of a baseball fan in general but I must say the Rockies have been exciting lately :thumb:

Can you imagine if they sweep the World Series?

Who'd a thunk it? They were lame for most of the season. Amazing what changes can happen to a group of folks with just a few tiny shifts here and there, and then, watch out!

It's been fun, though the fans have been keeping me up at night:rolleyes:

Surely you don't mean our Rockies, do ya?

Yeah. They were definatly playing good Baseball. A little slow at one point 7.5 games back but you don't win 90 games being lame most of the season.:thumb:

It's very hard not to be a baseball fan growing up in St. Louis.

I can't stand baseball, but I did watch the last few innings last night. That said if they win I will be at the parade! The Braves won while I was in school in Atlanta and it was the coolest street party ever!

Go Rockies!

So who is going to try and get tickets???

Denver will celebrate Rockies
The Denver Business Journal

A midday celebration is planned Wednesday to celebrate the Colorado Rockies.

The city of Denver and Downtown Denver Partnership Inc. will hold a rally at 11:45 a.m. at Skyline Park, at 15th and Arapahoe streets, to cheer on the team's postseason success.

Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter and Denver Mayor John HIckenlooper will attend, as will Clint Hurdle, manager of the Rockies, and players Matt Holliday, Jeff Francis and Garrett Atkins.

Meanwhile, the one-sided contest between the Rockies and the Boston Red Sox attracted the second-lowest television audience in the history of the World Series, according to a report by The Associated Press.

Broadcaster Fox said it averaged 17.1 million viewers for the Red Sox-Rockies World Series, which ended Sunday after Boston won the first four games.

The audience was 8 percent higher than last year's World Series, which drew the lowest ratings ever. The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Detroit Tigers last year. Only 15.8 million people watched that World Series.
