I am selling my 1987 transfer case. The trasfer case works fine and the fj60 showed 145,000 on the odometer. all shifters included.

$180 for the transfer

I'm tempted to take it, even though I have no need for an extra tranny. My problem is room too, though.

Ok, I'll take it. I've got room so I'll store it for the next guy who needs this.. let's hook up!

I could pick it up for you Tim, and drop it off the next time I come up to help. Colfax and Colorado is pretty close to work...

If you want to snag it Timm that would be great, thanks. If not I can hook up with the Turtle man myself... just let me know if you get it so I can quit bugging him :)

I work just south of downtown, and pick up my son every day downtown from daycare...I am sure we can find a place and time. :)

Hey Timmbuck,

Did you pick this up? Do you have it? I see now that Turtle has now deleted all his posts for "no interest." what's the deal?

Tim, are you buying these?

Well no, as Turtle has graciously offered to give the 4-speed to us.. and I can store it. Can you coordinate picking this up? If not I probably can, or maybe Cardinal can, but we were supposed to have this off his garage floor a month ago.. if you can make it happen please do it! but post up either way so we can get it done, thanks!

I'd like to try to do a parts run tonight to pick some of this stuff up. If I hear back from Turtle I'll try and bring the stuff to the meeting - so Tim if you're taking stuff home with you you might want to somehow make sure your truck won't get dirty. Tentative though.

I am heading out of town this afternoon and will be gone through tomorrow night. I would be available today up to around 1:30. Does that work for anyone? I can also leave them outside for pick up as I am sure that there is no one lurking around looking for free transmissions by my house.

I got you message Subzali, so I'll call you shortly.

Okay, talked with Paul. He has them out behind his house, so I can go over there and grab them on the way to the meeting - I don't really have room for this stuff, so whoever was planning on taking it and/or whoever could use please let me know, otherwise I'll be trying to pawn them off pretty soon. Hey Timm if you would rather go and pick them up that would be fine, it's just kinda on my way home from work anyway...sort of. :p:

I understand that someone got the 20 questions from my neighbor. Sorry about that! I talked to her later and assured her it was okay. At least we all look out for each other. Thanks for taking one or both of them.

Yeah, she was nice :) She just asked me what I was up to, and once she gave me your first name again and I finished with your last name I think it convinced her that I knew you and it was okay :D

Thanks again for those trannies, BTW do you know what years they came out of? Supposedly there are two different trannies for FJ60s, one is longer than the other so it's a direct swap with an H55F?

I don't know if these are both the same or if they're different. Thanks again!

Yes thank you again for the trannies, and any info you've got on them would be sweet. And thanks Matt for grabbing them, they're now in the back of my 80, I'll get them unloaded on Saturday into a nice safe spot where they'll rest up for the next guy.. :)

The one in the box is from Man Jerk and supposedly has less than 90k miles on it and in good working order, the other is an '87 that rattled/ground into second in cold weather, shifted into/out of second a little jumpy but kept me on the road without fail. Both are the later versions that would swap with a 5spd and have the spacer on the end where there would be the extra gear if it were the 5spd. I think that they all fit the '85 and later fj60's?

Let me know if you need more info. I can't remember if the shifters were in the box, now. I hope that they were, but if not and you want them, please let me know and I'll get them to you.
