After looking at a variety of cruisers I finally made up my mind and take possession of a 1969 FJ55 in the morning. The condition was that the seller had to provide a good emissions. He just let me know it passed.

350 (Edelbrock Performer Manifold & 4 Barrel Carb, K&N Filter, HEI Distributor) - 4 speed Toyots Manual Transmission with Atlas Overdrive (27%)

I'm excited :thumb:

Thanks guys and gal, got it this morning. Test drove it down to Castle Rock and cruises nicely at the 75mph speed limit. Doesn't steer or stop all that well and the noise is, well, noisy. Body, I've seen worse. :hill:

Matt, yeah it was listed a month or so ago on CL. Seller gave me all his paperwork from the last 10 years and some from his brother who he bought it from. Got it for a decent price and all that stuff too.

Very fun, very cool, lots of work to do too :D

Sweet Piggie. That's one of the early 55's to boot. Not many people have those turn signals on the apron. Congrats!

Thanks Wes, just learned today only the first 1200 had those turn signals. Note to self: don't break them. :p:

I don't see any reason not to, it's more roadworthy than I first thought.

Let's do it :thumb:

Chris!

Great find bud! I love the piggies man. Can't wait to see what you do to it! Maybe a test mule for SROR?

After taking a closer look, probably not. If I get my TRE's :blah: installed I'll be there with it though.
