Never personally been there. Only driven by. I have always heard their prices are outrageous. But if you need it, chances are they got it. Price you pay for getting what you want when you want it I guess. Something like a credit card commercial, right?

Yota Yard doesn't price gouge. If you tell them you are from Rising Sun chances are you will end up with a great deal! RS and Yota Yard have had a long relationship! Jim, who used to own YY has his own place now called YotaMan. It's a long story most of us old timers know but the fact is Yota Yard and Yota Man have earned our support as they have always supported us!
Side Note: they donated the parts we asked for on the raffle truck! :thumb::thumb:

In that case I'll definitely give them a try. I need to start my duel battery setup, and see if they have a lower control arm for my 80. I have a lot of work to do since I just got the ok to do Cruiser Moab next year.

I called them today, $700 for a used 22re lol, and as usual the woman was a little less than pleasant on the phone. I've gotten some good deals there though, usually on body/interior parts, they seem to like the money they get for mechanical parts.

I have dealt with Jim before. I know the story and just never needed anything before the "split". Have dealt with Jim since then and he is certainly accomodating and helpful. :thumb: for him.

I won a $100 gift certificate from them at the 2003 CM. Well being an elitist of the swine verity. The one 55 they have was not much. Well when I moved to the dark-side. No the other dark-side a mini truck. They honored the certificate in 2007. I spent $45 that day and have $55 left. Ha 55 go figure.

They were exceptionally proud of an empty passenger door for the Chili. I held them to the price they quoted on the phone, which was merely high but the door was red after all...

I like dealing with Jim and always have. I would try him first.

Interesting and good to know! I have always got great deals there but then again she probably remembers me from the Jim days. I'm hearing that Jim is working hard and getting Yota Man going strong. I wish we wasn't on the extreme Southside as I'm rarely down there. I really hope Jim succeeds!

EDIT; I was misinformed....Jim's yard is actually fairly close to Yota Yard!

I work with Jim Wales who used to own the "Yoda yard". He doesn't go by Yoda Man anymore (he was court ordered to change it by the competition). He's new name is "Jim's Used Toyota Truck Parts" his prices are hard to beat.
