Any how I have Kevin's emissions tires at my house if needed. I did not end up using them this morning. I just ran my Big O tires (315/75/16(web site states 34.5 not loaded). In reading the Air Care web site, they say that they would measure them if needed. That the tires needed to be less then 34 inches. Well the static measure of the tires were aprox 33 1/2 inches. So by definenition most 35 should work(static diameter is less then off the truck diameter). But your milage will vary I am sure. But if needed give me a pm a couple of days before hand so I can get them down the hill.

I have known of people grinding off the '35' from 35x12.50/15s just to make them measure them like they are required to do. No idea of the success rate.

Just a guess, but I don't think the average Envirotest employee can do metric to English conversions in their head, and your experience tends to support that. What would be hilarious is if they refused to test the guy on 35's right behind you. :D

I drove by their remote test sites for about a week on the way home. I didn't need to go in for the test.
