But a total PITA for those of us that are less than skilled at fixing and repairing stuff should anything break :D - but for $15K you'd have a one of a kind, albeit incomplete, 80 :thumb:

Links to the build up threads - Over 3 years he has been working on this

Wow, neet project! Is a tacoma tranny burly enough to hold up under a Landcruiser for long term use?

Figure I'd throw some info up for some of our ADD folks :hill: - some probably have not desire to read through 8+ pages from MUD :)

I don't even want to think about how much $$ this guy has into this project

Needs completion. $15k firm takes it home....

What more needs to be done?

The basic list...

Install radiator and modify support.
Complete the cable shift.
Possibly adjust clutch pedal ratio.
Finalize exhaust which includes installing O2 sensor bungs.
Bolt in fornt driveshaft.
probably a dozen or so smaller items

Here's a quick rundown of the hi-po stuff....

Completely rebuilt hi-po 4.6, never started.
dual 2.25" exhaust
New Tacoma 6 speed trans with nearly new spare
Orion t-case.
Cv front shaft.
New Poly axles and Longfields
4.88 gears w/ factory lockers
New 37" MT Claws on steel wheels
Custom Superwinch Husky
Dual Koni shocks front and rear
More new and rebuilt systems than I can think of, hoses, wires, plugs, bearings.

I wish I had 15k to through at it, it would be a killer truck. There would be some electronic stuff as well to do. Brain has done a major project and I really hate to see him not start and drive it. Any how I a sure he has a good reason.

I agree! Brian has been a pioneer for figuring out what fits what in this endevour! If I could justify the cash outlay I would snag this truck up in a second!

I'm pretty sure they've got a bun in the oven that's almost done...

I'm sure it really hurts to give up a project like this!

No way I could justify it but if I were to win the lottery I wouldn't care :hill:

I could keep Robbie busy for awhile and then have some fun :thumb:
