Is 1500 too much or what?

Don't know. I'm no expert. For a 4-year-old computer, it may be. Most people probably don't need that kind of system.

I would say yes. I have nearly the same set up at home, 36GB @15k and 3gb memory.

I have tried to sell mine before on CL and started at $1500, the last price I was asking was $800 and it never sold. Lot of questions and calls but nothing.

Take a look and see what it would cost to replace that unit today, you will be surprised at how "cheap" it will be.

I've got a 14" monitor he can have. I actually have an older PowerMac 9500 (with a G3 upgrade, so it's not that bad) that I've been trying to give him for years. His apartment isn't huge, so he's not too keen on a big clunky box. That's why that pink iMac I thought had his name all over it!

Care to tell me which dumpster you are tossing it into and when? :D

Did you get my PM? As mentioned parting it out may net you more $$ than as a whole. Computers are getting like Cruisers...They suck in a lot of $$ and in the end you have a hard time getting much out of them :(
