Anyone have connections or used a vehicle transport service? I may need to transport a 40 from Dallas, TX area back to Boise, ID.

I did a bit of research on transporters when I was buying my 40 (but ended up driving it home myself). Let me see if I can track it down.

They are out of SLC, but go all over the country. The company name is a play on their name... piquet.

they were fair, kept good communication with both them and the driver. I had my FJ60 shipped from Lousiville to SLC, then a different one back to me in Louisville.

Here's the recommendations I got, but I never used them.

A2B Systems - Broker, open car carriers, decent price
Coast to Coast Auto - Not a broker, better service and a bit more expensive than broker firms
Intercity Lines - Classic/exotic car mover. More expensive, enclosed trailers. Probably a good choice if your car/truck is in mint/near mint condition.

I had a really bad experience with Affiliated Auto. They shipped my wife's car for me, and between the up-selling, multiple delays, and the $1000+ damage to the car upon arrival, I wouldn't go anywhere near those guys.

I was very happy with Exotic. They brought our Packard from south Florida in less than 3 days. They were a little more expensive than others we checked but I would use them again.

The cheapest I found was

Accelerated Logistics Auto Transport http://autotrans1.com/

I think they are out of englewood, but they go everywhere. I've had 3 transactions with them and they were the cheapest. Everything went well and the vehicle arrived in good shape and on time.

x2 - Ben turned me on to these guys.

I used them to pull a inop Pig from Sante Fe to Fort Collins. They upped the price on me in btwn the time they quoted and the time I actually bought the Pig. I questioned this, but man diesel was just going up and up the whole time.

They did a fine job and it was a good deal.

Thanks for all of the advice and suggestions, but the deal did not work out.
