At the last meeting there was a discussion regarding Arch Canyon and the probability of it being closed. Who do I/we need to write specifically to voice our opinion?

I may be willing to take a trip out there later this year if i am unable to do the rubicon...
I spent a week exploring the area about 15 years ago.

If they cut the shrubs back from the trail, I would recommend running Arch Canyon. At the pre-run in 3/2007, the trail pinstriped my black 80 a lot. We actually had some folks decide not to do the run at CM07 based on the scratching.

It's a really pretty trail, and is in eminent danger of being closed.

Sorry, Matt, I can't help myself: imminent is the word you are looking for.
Forgive me.

You are absolutely correct. I thought it looked wrong when I typed it, but couldn't figure out why.

eminent
1 : standing out so as to be readily perceived or noted : conspicuous (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/conspicuous) 2 : jutting out : projecting (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/projecting) 3 : exhibiting eminence (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/eminence) especially in standing above others in some quality or position : prominent (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/prominent) synonyms see famous (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/famous)

imminent
ready to take place; especially : hanging threateningly over one's head <was in imminent danger of being run over>

Hi all.
FWIW, you can camp in a lot of places near by, We camped in an area that had enclosed toilets across the road from the trail head this year and last, We just got back again a week or so ago while doing the pre-run for CM, There is a high probability of pinstriping, I dont care, Mine has plenty already :)
This time around there was a lot more plant growth, with 50 water crossings each way(someone counted) I noticed some Indian ruins this year that I didnt last year, Its a great trail, The other one in the area that is worth seeing is Hotel Rock.
From our camping spot we drove South to the Valley of the Gods and up Moki Dugway, It was quite a nice 800mile round trip.
Good luck on future outings
