Should bolt to a H55F, then plop inside one of Treeroot's 45LV's. that's my dream, at least.

I need the airbox! PO stripped it to put in a scary looking K&N knockoff. Anything else I need Robbie???? How is the interior? I already have the rear lockers, I just need the front. :)

The 1Fz-FE doesn't bolt to an H55F. You need to get a foreign H151 (I think that's the number- don't have my paperwork in front of me). Then you also need the diff for that tranny as it isn't full time 4wd like the US 80 series. Plus, you need the correct computer for the tranny/ foreign 80 series. The US computer also runs the tranny, & it won't run correctly if not plugged in to the right set up.

Someone want to convert? I really only want non locked 80axles as they will be low geared and Detroit locked. This could end up being a cheap e-locker conversion for someone after they sell me their old axles! Think about it....

I need to see if the PO really put a locking diff on the rear like he claimed. I have only had it a couple of months. The front is unlocked...

Not 100% sure. I had a 72 Mustang Convertible for 10 years, restored a couple of Mustangs before that. A few weeks ago I still had the Mustang and the Jeep. Now I am back to only 1 vehicle. I was thinking about a 40, but that 60 in Boulder for $1k is tempting if I could figure out how hard it would be to get it to pass emmissions....

You're putting full-time Detroit lockers in the rear and front? Pardon my ignorance -- why? Are the Toyota lockers prone to breakage? I can understand wanting to upgrade to beefier equipment, but isn't selectable lockage a huge benefit? That's the reason I've not put a locker in the front of my 40 (until I can afford an ARB).

Matt,
The axles are for a differant project. Sorry, should have known that very little information would raise eyebrows. ;) Ricecake is fine just the way it is. :Princess:

So you are looking for a set of 80 axles w/o lockers? Or will 40 axles be OK?

Full floating 80 diffs w/o lockers complete is what I want. Thats why I responded in this thread about conversion. If someone with an unlocked 80 wanted to convert to factory locked diffs and electronics they could buy Olegs and I would buy their "open" diffs. They and I would end up with what we want reasonably cheap.

This thread is four years old. This is probably not a current for sale item.
