Does anybody have a piece 2x5 steel? Not to worried about thickness unless it is very thin. 3/16 to 1/4 would be great. I can use anywhere from 16" to 36"

If not a piece of 2x4 about 5' long would work too, maybe longer. LMK what you have, need this ASAP. I have an appointment on Friday and nee it by then please.

That is what I am looking for. I normally go to Hinton but they do not have scrap. I will call them and see what they have and the $$$. Spending way to much on all of this stuff, I need a new hobby

Marco,

thanks for the offer, I went and bought a stick of 2x3x10. the guy told me steel had gone up in price but man, nearly 50% up since last year.

Plans have changed on the rear bumper so I needed different size metal.

no sweat, glad you found what you needed.. when you get started, just let me know if you need odds and ends. I have a bunch of little bits (well, kinda big) from the front bumper, sliders, and rear bumper projects.

Thanks for the offer, I really appreciate it. Where are you located at? My biggest problem is that I am pretty far south, past Chatfield in Roxborough.

I hope to get most of the bumper done this weekend, we'll see since I changed my mind three times on the way to buying the steel.
