Not really, but a few of my buddies are and they saw this and passed it my way.

Pretty cool, but you still need a radio, battery and charger at that price. I could probably find a few other things to spend close to $1k on.

If you want to spend money on R/C stuff, check out this site

For a point of reference on RC costs. $1k will buy you in with OK stuff. If you get serious you quickly learn that it's much cheaper to build from scratch in the long run rather than buy a RTR kit. By the time you take an RTR kit and swap out all the plastic that needs to be titanium or at least billet aluminum and get it tuned to where you play with it more than fix it you will have well over $2k in it. My latest Crawler than I have 90% done is pushing $1.5k and there is truly nothing to it as it's built light and strong with no fluff! It was a partial RTR kit and a whole lot of trick stuff.
I was into Nitro RC and my one truck which has over 3hp at 30k RPM is worth more than Red Chili's wheels and tires! Cruiser content....why can a 1/8" diameter drive shaft hold up in a over powered truck landing from a jump well over 30 feet in the air but a mini truck diff grenades from an underpowered truck less than 3 foot in the air?

Cuz Ghostrider didn't synch up wheel speed with ground speed... :lmao:

Old thread revival!

You can still get the Tamiya CR-01, which is what Nakman had on the maze trip. The smaller version with IFS, the CC-01 is now disco'd in kit form but you can still find in RTR versions.
I'm going a slightly different path.....I picked up an old one of these in kit form since they disco'd the one's with beadlocks:

and I'm putting a body pretty much just like this one on it. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXUGX1&P=7
When it's done, it looks a lot like the CR-01, but not so massive and a little more "scale" looking. Even picked up one of those R/C winches for the front....to winch Nakman out of the fire. :)
