looking for extra cab t100 or tundra, 6cyl preferred, with auto but will entertain 5sp.

can be a "work" truck. No mini's please, as I need the bigger bed and usable back seat. Not in a huge hurry, as I have to sell my 2007 chevy first.

I always thought T100s were cool trucks. Kind of spendy off the lot, but should be a good deal used. Hopefully they don't have the rusty frame issue.

Why did the t100 never take off? Seems like a lackluster one for Toyota...

T100's is just a little too much truck for that 3.4. So they're slower, and not as effecient. IMO it's worth it to step up to a later model Tundra so you can get the suicide door for access to the back seat, which the T100 definitely does not have.

It was Toyota's first effort at trying to compete with full-size trucks from Chevy/GMC/Ford/Dodge. The problem was that it wasn't big enough in size, yet the price was $30k new. They did a much better job with the Tundra.

That was a Taco-specific issue. No worries. And only Tacos from a particular factory.

Needed a V8.

jeez guys...
the tundra has the 4.3 v6 avail. T100 would be a price decision. they did have 3rd door in last 2 years

tundra is a much better truck, but my chevy gets way better mileage than the tundra, hauls more, and fits more if I were to stay v8.

I can supercharge the 4.3 if needed for offroad/towing. Hell, I could turbo either v6..

just let me know if you here or see one will ya?

Looks like it's going to be a tough search:

Not sure I understand "rear locker"?

 Why would you be concerned with price differences when you consider turboing the cheaper one?

I believe the TRD package on the Tundra does NOT include a rear locker. Sadly.

Correct, sir. TRD package is alloy rims, Bilstein shocks, and a sticker.

well - that's money and time later, rather than up front. May not even need to turbo it. I can build my own tubing, and I am sure that I can find higher flow injectors if needed, and run an adjustable waste gate.. that's FUN money. Different than upfront, what it costs to get it money...

at least to the cfo...
