Hey. I am going to do a SOA on my 75 '40. It was early75, still had fr. drums. As I did with my '60, I'd rather just slap a '62 axle underneath rather than cutting and turnig the housing for the right caster angle (espec. considering the added labor/cost of doing the disk conv. alone).

whether or not it's a 40 axle/60 axle/62 axle has nothing to do with cutting and turning. all you'll gain with a 62 axle is wider axle which will require outboarding the springs on a 40, disc brakes and 4.1 fine spline pinion. you still should cut and turn, although not as critical as it is on a wagon.
