This is a chat thread, not a serious gear list discussion.

 Huh? David Sedaris is one of the funniest writers on the planet.

:D Here's what you need to be worried about: the new album from "Suffocate for f--- sake " is called "Blazing fires and helicopters on the frontpage of the newspaper. There's a war going on and I'm marching in heavy boots." Link (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=26269330)

Been trying to get a good start on:
"1491: New Revelations of the Americas Before Columbus" by Charles Mann
Probably will grab another book, we're gonna be gone a while.

A few new (to me, mostly used) CDs:
"Begonias" by Caitlin Cary and Thad Cockrell
"The Captain" by Kasey Chambers
"LP I" by The Soviettes
"Sky Blue Sky" by Wilco
"Isolation Drills" by Guided by Voices
"Dig Me Out" by Sleater-Kinney
"All The Roadrunning" by Emmylou Harris and Mark Knopfler

Dave, I might be interested in borrowing a couple of those.. do you have 1/8" stereo input capability? If so you guys can have my iPod for a while too..

Oh, and also I'm bringing the book for both of my Ham radios, my geek goals for the trip is to learn how to get around a little better in the VX-7R, and learn cross-band repeat on the 8800.
