I have an uncle (in Nevada) who is on perm disability due to congestive hearth failure. :(

His cobra insurance benefit just ran out. Due to pre-existing conditions he will either not be insurable or the premiums will be too high to afford on his fixed income. Current prescriptions run $900 per month

Does anyone know where I can look for programs to get him some assistance with prescription costs? State run, private, etc....

Costco offers a good program for people with no perscription drug coverage. HTH. www.costco.com

looks like the Costco program is limited to only certain drugs. I don't have a list yet of his specific prescriptions but I'm betting that they will not be on the list at Costco.

What I really think I'm going to need is some sort of welfare program.

The drug companies all have programs for low or no cost drugs to people who need them and can't pay. He needs to talk to his doc, or call the drug manufacturer's public relations office.
