chris and paula andolsek are working on getting ohv/outdoor enthusiast plates. they've found a rep to sponsor the bill. they are now working on gathering the necessary 3000 signatures. wording puts the extra fee at $30 (this is not a commitment to buy the plates, just stating that you would like to see them available!) and the money would go to a pot that folks would be able to apply for grants to maintain trails.

i have a petition if anyone is interested in signing. for those down south, there is also a petition at off road innovations in centennial.

That's a great idea. Especially if some money is raised for trails (and keeping them open). I wouldn't do this for my 40 since I have the historical plates, but definitely for the 60. Where do I sign? :thumb:

I'd be down with it, especially if some of the money's got routed to trail maintenance.

If the money can stay in the community as stated then its a great idea. I'd sign it, but don't know when?

I'd do it in a heartbeat if it was a one-time $30 fee, and might even do it for an annual fee as well.

One thought: You might want to tell Chris and Paula that a Jeep grille is not a universal symbol for all 4WD vehicles. This is one of those images that designers think represents us all, and well, you know the rest.

Sounds like a good idea! I'd certainly sign the petition.

Absolutely. Annual fee. With safeguards that the funds cannot be rerouted to the general budget.

chris is a bronco guy, so there won't be a jeep grill. his thoughts to keep it non vehicle specific are to show a trail up to the mountains.

Heck, I'd probably get one with a picture of an early Bronco. Those are some cool trucks.

i'd do a bronco in a heartbeat :thumb:

it will be competing with ham plates, and possibly classic plates by the time i get a rig of my own, but i wouldn't mind seeing these on the road, or even on my rig.

I'm down for sure. As long as Bill's provision is in there.
