Need to buy an 8 mm x 1.25 thread x maybe 2 inches long bolt. Home Depot and Lowes closed an hour ago.

Wal-Mart?

K-Mart?

_______?

What's it for, Matt? I've got a few cans of stuff. Want me to look?

It's for this.

I'm going to measure how long I need. Stand by...

12mm head? 14mm?

The one I have is about 2.25" long. I need something at least with .5" or more thread. Anything 3" or longer would be fine.

Does not matter.

I don't think I have anything that long.

How come your doing thr front bump stops? Did you have an issue on the Rubicon. I didn't and there was no rubbing so I figure I am good without the fronts.

size does matter:D

at this time of night....rule number one, don't do this kinda stuff unless you have a warehouse of crap to jerry rig from (currently , my right rear sway bar link is made from square strap and an fj55 link), or aaa tradin' post (or the equivalent).

The bolt that holds together the extended front bump stop seems to have worked its way out, so the bump stop, metal can that it sits in, and the Slee spacer puck all were sitting inside the spring. I have them out and the spring off.

I figured the bolt had broken off, and I would mess with it later. My intention was just to remove the parts from inside the spring and put it back together. Now I am thinking I can put it back together right, so I don't have to take it all apart again later.

Yeah, but I can simply put it all back together and do it later. Just was wondering if anyone had an idea where I could go to get bolts in the wee hours.

Seems like Home Depot should have a 24 hour store somewhere.

Sorry Matt. I don't think I have any 8mmx1.25s in my cans. Certainly not 3" long. :(

Thanks for looking. I have an SAE bolt that is a bit longer. I'm going to try that out. If not, I will go back together tonight and mess with this again later.

All back together now. I used a 5/16 bolt, which worked great because the threads were a little wallowed out. Used some Loctite threadlocker -- hopefully it will all stay together.

You're not running front bump stops? What shocks are you running? I have the OME "L" shocks.

Me too

I took it to Slee and put it on a ramp and Christo looked at it and said he didn't think I needed them. He said I needed rears and we markes where it would rub on the rear and I trimmed the flare there.

I had no issues at the Rubithon, I had wondered up till then.

But you only listen to Romer, Corsair and Hants anyway.. :D :bolt:

Nah, I listen to everyone. Those are the guys who tell me all the mods I should be doing because they read ih8mud way more often than I do.

Some of you other guys are on Mud too, but you're way more secretive. ;)
