View Full Version : Looking for Someone in Vail/Eagle Area with a Welder

I need to weld up some seat brackets I made for some new buckets in my 40. Looking for someone in Vail/Avon/Edwards/Eagle that has a welder and would be willing to let me come over and weld these up. I rented a POS Lincoln 100 HD from Home Depot to tack everything together, the thing just does not have the power to burn it all together. Post here, PM me, or just give me a ring. Thanks,

I've got a 110v, but i don't think it would be any better. I've used the guy in Edwards next the Thrify store. I just show up with some metal parts and ask them to do it.

What welder do you have? A 110V would work depending on the unit. The one I rented from HD was the smallest model Lincoln makes and it was a POS. I've used a couple Lincoln and Hobart 110V welders that have no problem with 1/8" material (what I am using). I will have to go check out the guys next to the thrift store. I went to a welding shop in Eagle-Vail a couple weeks ago that wanted to charge me $80 to do my Martacks for me (6 tack welds, $80 is min shop charge). What a bunch of asses. What ever happened to helpin a guy out? What do those guys next to the thrift store usually charge you?
