I need a K&N intake or similar. I'm needing the air flow...

K&Ns suck fine dust. DAMHIK. Unless you use a foam oiled prefilter, which then slightly reduces the flow you seek.

I'm aware, but this isn't going to be my dirt queen, so a little air flow doesn't bother me

Is this for the 4Runner? Have you done the deckplate mod yet? More air than a K&N..

Paper is still by far the best filter media.

And you call yourself a 4Runner guy..

Basically you cut a hole in your air cleaner box, just behind the headlight to allow more air in. Do some searches on Yotatech, also if you see Jaderunner at the next meeting take a look at his setup. I did one on the Runner that my brother owns now for about $10 in home depot parts, using a toilet flange and some screen, also a rubber end cap to stick on in case there's a big water crossing. But you'll get more air than the K&N will give, plus you can stick with paper and not gunk up your MAF sensor & throttle body with filter oil.

Buddy of mine did this with his 3rd gen. Huge difference.

And the price is right. Should please the finance.

:lmao:
It gets the name 'deckplate' from using a marine screw-in cover to seal it if you want. That is known as a 'deckplate'. What do I win?
