Wow. Engine mods that cost more than any vehicle I've ever owned.

You guys play in a totally different league. ;)

Wow. I'd love to have one, but I've also been thinking of buying a small Honda to use as a daily driver.

Boy no kiddin'. The Chili has not been cheap but at least it wasn't all at once.

The supercharger makes the 6500 pound 80 drive like it should. I have tuned Sarah's so it runs better than a stock 80 (MAF/Exhaust), but it doesn't compare to an SC.

And no I am not buying her one. I sold my 40 to get one along with a few other toys for the 80.

Like I said, it wasn't cheap. $4K for a blower though??? Whew.

That's why I said I can't play but it's not like 4 runners are drastically cheaper for a blower are they (leaving out the inside purchase) ?

What was the retail of the one justin installed on his ketchup?

I thought it was the Radio Flier? Super charger are a lot cheaper if they fall off the truck;)

I've been sworn to secrecy on that one. Consider, however, the finance factor in your guess.

FWIW, the minitruck versions go for around $1200. Or so.

Sell the 40 and get a SC for the LX?

Keep the 40 and just suck a$$ going up the hills?

I tell you what...The SC would have been STELLAR to have on the trip to Ouray and back. I was only pulling a jet ski (and all the gear etc inside for the week) and going up Monarch Pass the best I could muster was 30-35 mph :(

I think the :Princess: wants the hot passenger floor issue resolved more than the power issue right now though - she is tired of having her feet feel like they are going to catch on fire :hill:

I understand the heat thing when the ac went out on the way to Tahoe, that was a factor. Thats obviously from the exhaust/cats.

I called around and tried to get a single high performance cat instead of one and no one would touch it because that would be violating the law, even Buds muffler.

Thinking there has to be some material one could apply to the undersid of the truck to shield/insulate the cabin. Worth pondering this in a nother thread.

I had an aftermarket single cat installed and the y pipe crack welded up on my 80 last June at Discount muffler on Evans. It was only $375 for the whole shootin match and it hasn't thrown a code since. Floorboard is still hot as hades though. I also live in Park county so am emissions testing free.
