How much are those tires setting people back?

Eh, UB, like I said, get a mini, and you won't notice the noise of the tires, or if they are out of balance. :D

The truck is always loud, and always has some shake or shimmy.

Can you get that same kind of discount for all your friends at RS?;)

Looks good. Which location do you work at? I will need tires soon. I would like to find an alternative to MTR's but can't. I can't quite justify the added cost of either the Toto MT's or these. Plus I don't think these come in 285\75\16's.

What does a 315 translate into inches?

Thanks, looks great! :D

According to the BFG website (http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/specs/mud-terrain-t-a-km2/3930.html), they have that size but only in load range "E".

what Does A 315 Translate Into Inches?

~12.5"

315/75R16 is ....35" (http://www.onlineconversion.com/tire_size_conversion.htm)

and contrary to popular belief, I bet it is just as tall as certain tires being 35x12.x16. My BFG's are the same height as Trxus 35x12.50x16.

i should get these tires ;)

I would wait, Ben! I'm serious about the noise! I love the tire but I'm hatein' the hum! I think on a 40 or even a built mini you prolly wouldn't notice but on a Mall Cruiser the noise just doesn't fit! I wanted to try these out as the Crawlers are great traction and with the harder compound and factory syping I hoped for a great all around tire that lasted longer than the Trxus MT's. I would go with a set of MTR's but they are just to darn short whereas the BFG's are close to true size. Heck....you might end up with mine if ya hit me up right after I take another trip to Greeley or anywhere else I hit highway speeds for a while. :kevin: + http://www.dinicartoons.com/forum/images/smilies/Star_Wars/naboo2.gif = http://www.dinicartoons.com/forum/images/smilies/Misc/nuts.gif

No, the KM2's only came in a 315?75R15 when i got mine but it looks like they have just released them in a 285\75R16 along with some 15's finally. The 285's are only a 10 ply tread (load range E) so they might be a little stiff for off-roading, I have only ran Load range D's (8 ply tread) so they are not as stiff of a tire. And I work at the Longmont store.

Oops, my info is a little late, i didn't notice the other post up :)

now you are tempting me :D They can't be that much louder than the KM's....

we are going to McConaughy this weekend...I'll check what the sound is like...i've gotten used to it

They are supposed to be quieter than the KMs.

UB's sensative ears are getting too soft with all this LUXURY 4x4 stuff. Get back to work on the 40!!! That'll have some road noise if you're putting on the tires that I think you're putting on :D

Looking forward to some wear assessments. I hope to buy a set next spring, so maybe we'll have some folks with mileage.

There's an 80 with 315 KM2's at my kids' school. Trxus are definitely bigger :D

Agreed! When UB is done, will Wild Rice be streetable? It will be sweet, that's for sure! :thumb:

Actually I had my dismounted Trxus MT with 60% tread along side of one of the new 315 KM2. Using a level the BFG was just shy of 1/2" of the Trxus which means total about 3/4" smaller. Pretty darn close! 315 MTR is about that same 1/2" shorter than the KM2! Comparing the sidewalls was actually a selling point as the MTR was very thin and flimsy, the TX MT was thicker than the MTR but the KM2 was quite a bit stouter in the sidewal then the Interco!

Hopefully. Up till this latest morph my "limit" was 50 miles of black top to trail head. It should still be the same deal. Soft and grooved aggressive tires disappear quickly on the highway and face it.....like a dirt bike....fun factor is gone after herding a spongy swam of bees at highway speeds beyond an hour or so!

I am going with grooved IROCS this time so hopefully they won't be too much worse than grooved SX's. :zilla:
